Year Groups

CLASS ORGANISATION

Reception children may start school at the beginning of the school year in which they turn five.  Nursery children may start the term after they turn three. If you are interested in a place at Moor Row for your child, you are invited to visit the school and meet the Head Teacher and staff to find out more about us.

FOUNDATION STAGE – Nursery and Reception

Foundation Stage children are taught by a full time teacher and a Higher Level Teaching Assistant both supported by teaching assistants.

KEY STAGE 1 - Infants

The infant class (Year 1 & 2) has a full-time teacher supported by a classroom assistant.

KEY STAGE 2 – Juniors

The Key Stage 2 (junior children) are currently organised into two classes as follows:-

Year 3 and Year 4

Year 5 and Year 6

These class groups have a full time teacher each and are supported by teaching assistants.

The children are taught in ability groups for Maths and English.

Each classroom has an interactive whiteboard giving access to the Internet, DVD and TV. There is also a dedicated outdoor learning area with direct access to Foundation Stage.

To help your children to settle into school, we have an induction programme to help them to adjust easily to school life.  As a result of this, children settle well into our school community.
