The main school gates to the playground open at 8.30am but please note that there is no staff supervision until the doors are opened at 8.45am.
Children in the Early Years and Key Stage 1 should use the first door to access the building. This door is supervised by a member of staff until it is locked again at 9.00am. Parents are welcome to accompany children into their classes but should ensure that they have left the building via the same door by 8.55am to ensure that registers can be taken and lessons can start promptly.
Under no circumstances should parents or carers attempt to pass through the Key Stage 1 classroom and into the hall to access the Key Stage 2 section of the school. This door will be supervised by a member of staff. If you wish to speak to a Key Stage 2 member of staff urgently, please go back outside and walk around the rear of the building and speak to them at their own classroom door. If the matter is not urgent, please contact them via email, addresses can be found on the Contacting Us section of this website.
If you wish to speak to the school administrator, please go to the main front door and press the buzzer. Please note that she is only available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Children in Key Stage 2 should access their classrooms by walking around the rear of the building through the Early Years outdoor area to their own doors. These doors will be supervised by staff until all pupils are inside and they will then be secured.
All pupil doors and the main school gates to the playground will be secured at 9.00am. Any pupil arriving after this time should go to the main front door and press the buzzer. They will be met by a member of staff and accompanied to their classroom. No parents or carers will be allowed access to the school building after this time to ensure security. If you wish to discuss an urgent matter, every effort will be made to accommodate this but please appreciate that staff are engaged in teaching at this time and the head teacher may not be present.
All visitors to the school between 9.00am and 3.15pm should come to the main front door and press the buzzer. Please avoid doing this if the reason for your visit is not urgent. As we are such a small school, we do not have full time office support and the head teacher is not always on site. Unnecessary visits to the school can result in interruptions to teaching and learning so please contact a member of school staff via email or wait until the end of the day if this is possible.
When dropping off at breakfast club, please press the buzzer and wait until a member of staff comes to collect your child. You will not be able to accompany your child through the school.
When collecting from after school club, please press the buzzer and wait until a member of staff accompanies your child to the front door. Please be patient as this can take a few minutes.
